This week we have been learning about the five senses Sight,Touch,Smell,Hearing and lastly Taste.
The teacher gave the whole class a body part from a sheep then we had to guess what it was. Our group had a lamb kidney. Last week The year six's went to life education with Harold. First she explained to us about our body safe. Like how to avoid smoking and drugs. I write a poem about raw meat i hope you enjoy it.

Skittles

Kia ora
This week we have been learning about the five senses. The teacher told the whole class that we could make any sort of presentation we wanted. We got to observe and eat some yummy popcorn. Afterwards, we had to write about the popcorn using Hearing, Taste, Sight, Smell and lastly Touch. Here is what I have been working on. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pop pop pop! The corn was jumping up and down in the packet like a rabbit. People got hyper listening to that nice popping noise. Feeling the popcorn was like touching a a bumpy dented  fidget spinner shaped as a ball. It smelt as though there were meat patties cooking on the stove. Eating it was like munching on lasagna toppers. Mmmmmm! YUM!

Skittles

This week on Monday we did a science experiment on Skittles to see if would have a scientific observable reaction. The teacher gave all of our writing groups a handful of Skittles then we were told to arrange them all in a circle and after that we put hot water and observed.  Here is what I have been working on.

The colour from the Skittles combine with the warm water while forming different shapes and patterns. As we watch them form I put a Skittle in my mouth. The flavour bursts in my
hungry mouth while the shell scrapes against my tongue leaving the cravings for more. The Skittles are like a whole bunch of
pebbles gracefully dancing around the plate forming a lovely flower shape. The colours ski around the plate . The scent of the Skittles is climbing up my nose and to my nostrils luring me to shove one or two or maybe even three more into my mouth.
